Doing us proud at Fleadh Cheoil 2010

Well done to the CCÉ Sráid an Mhuillinn 12-15 Mixed Set Dancers who came second overall at Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann 2010 in Cavan on Friday. The group were Oisin Murphy, Darren Kiely, Patrick O’Callaghan, Conor Twomey, Jessica Dunne, Leanne Murphy, Kate Buckley & Áine McAuliffe . Well done to all and to their teacher Joanne Cullinane.

Of course they were not the only local representatives at the Fleadh. There was an all girls set in the U18 section, and there were a number of musicians also, but unfortunately without any success at the Fleadh. But,  just getting there in the first place was a big achievement, as it’s not so long ago that there were little or no competitors from the area at the Fleadh.
