News this morning that Jerry Keating who was chairman of the Duhallow Board for many many years has passed away. Above is a photo of him presenting Donal Cashman with the Duhallow U21 Hurling Championship cup, after Millstreet defeated his own Banteer in the Final (after scoring 5 goals in extra time in the replay). Also in the photo are Donagh McCarthy, Conor Corcoran, Thomas O’Leary and Eamonn Cremin.
Death Notice: The death has occurred on Jerry Keating. A retired National School Teacher. Late of Nadd, Banteer and formerly of Rylane. Passed away on Friday 29th October at Bridhaven Nursing Home, Mallow. Reposing at McCarthy’s Funeral Home, Banteer. Rosary on Saturday at 8.30 pm. Reposing Sunday from 6.30 pm – 8.30 pm with removal to St Joseph’s Church, Lyre. Requiem Mass on Monday at 9.30 am followed by burial in the adjoining Cemetery.
