The sunny days seem to make everything possible. And since they come so seldom we tend to lap them up. Work at silage is at fever pitch, by sunlight by day and lamplights at night. Please be extra vigiliant at this busy time and be on the look out for heavy increase in traffic, on all roads.

And so ends another Feile na Bealtaine carefully planned for us all as usual, by IRD Duhallow. Many thanks to all concerned.
A great crowd attended to open Day at our Community Hospital On Sunday. The bright sunny day made it all the more enjoyable. This local facility has to be seen to be believed, providing as it does a wide range of medical care for our elderly. The huge crowd made it difficult to see it all, so I must go again.
Following the 11.30 Mass on Sunday, the members of the Community Council, met with our Church Choir, where they presented a cheque from the proceeds of this years calendar to Jane Daly, choir mistress, on behalf of the Choir. Council Chairman Mr Noel Buckley spoke of the important part that choir takes at our church services, and hoped that this contribution would go some way to the defray their ongoing costs. In her reply Jane thanked the Community Council, saying the welcome gesture was a great boost in more ways than one.
A blood donor Clinic will visit Millstreet on June 5th. Please support it well.

A note from our Active Retired Group to say that due to the closure of Nibbles Cafe, their Thursday coffee meetings will be held at the Wallis Arms Hotel on Thursdays from 11-12noon. All members welcome.

The annual May Mass at Tubrid well was blessed with fine weather on Friday evening and a fine crowd attended. The Mass was said by Canon John assisted by Fr, Sean Tucker, and PA, provided as always by John A O’Sullivan.

Corpus Christi Procession will be held after the 11.30 Mass on Sunday next, Benediction will be held in the Square. This years First Holy Communion Children will attend. Also the Choir and Pipe Band. Please attend it well.
