Eily’s Report 26th February

Dia is Mhuire díobh go léir a chairde, and welcome to my report.

Spring is on our doorstep, I think that Friday March 1st, is the first day of Spring. Though sometimes you’d wonder. Anyway the Daffodils tell us that it is. I haven’t seen any baby lambs yet but  when they come, then it will be Spring in earnest.  We are all urged to plant things this year. One notice says to plant potatoes by St. Patrick’s Day, as we did in the past. I like to watch out for Good Friday every year to plant something because they say that anything that you set on Good Friday will grow.   It would be nice to plant a few things in a box and give it to someone who can’t do it themselves.

Down with Crime. Once again we laud the efforts of our local Gardai for bringing a recent unsavoury incident in our town to the notice of  the whole country on RTEs Crime Call program last night . The clear picture of the culprit on our screens gives everybody an opportunity to help and will act as a deterrent to other would be criminals to think again about committing an offence.

Is there any limit to which our Sean Radley will go to bring us his news. He features largely on our screens with the whole world behind him, in Brussels. Sean will not be on air tonight but will be back next week when we will be glued to his program online on  Cork Music Station ,as he will tell us all about his exciting trip ‘Into Europe’.
