Everyone is welcome to the unveiling of a special plaque at the Bridge in Millstreet Town Park on Monday, 11th March 2019 at 10:30 a.m.. The Plaque is dedicated to John O’Keeffe and the late Lena O’Keeffe in recognition of their magnificent contribution to Millstreet Tidy Towns Association and to Millstreet Town Park over many years. I lived in Millstreet from 1998 to 2001 and again in 2006. I remember seeing the O’ Keefes daily picking up the litter, usually smiling and happy to chat. I am delighted that there will be a plaque in town now to show the town’s appreciation. It is very well deserved. I look forward to seeing it should I visit again.
