The Ballot boxes for the Macroom area were taken to Mallow this morning (Saturday) where the papers were separated, & then taken to County Hall for counting. Below are updates as they come to hand:
5:30pm: Final (11th) Count: The six seats are full – Michael Creed, Gobnait Moynihan, Michael Looney, Martin Coughlan, Eileen Lynch, and Ted Lucey are elected.
So there will be no representative from the Millstreet area in the council. There are two from Macroom, one from Berrings, one from Aghabollogue, one from Crookstown, and one from Ballyvourney.
