There was a big crowd for the Willie Neenan Memorial 5 mile Road Race on Friday evening, where 212 runners completed the course. The men’s race was won by International runner Kevin Maunsell of Clonmel in a time of 25:30, while the ladies race was won by Carol Finn (whose mum is from here) in a time of 32:04. Congrats to all who took part, and to those that organised for Millstreet Athletic Club. Below are lots of photos and results from the evening.

Most photo clips of road races are of the elite athletes in the front but those at the rear are just as important and do so at their own pace and deserve huge respect and praise. The runners in our photo were part of the Willie Neenan Memorial 5 mile race and many hundreds of athletes took part in lovely June sunshine [2u.ie]
