The series looks at the musicians, composers and collectors who have contributed to the survival of Traditional Irish Music down through the years.
In Part 3, John Greene visits Ardgroom on the Beara peninsula and the town of Skibbereen to find out more about Canon James Goodman.
Goodman who was a Church of Ireland Rector, was also a staunch Unionist.
This amazing man who was a fluent Irish speaker and lecturer, managed to collect and catalogue over 2,300 Irish tunes and songs during the latter half of the 19th Century.
