Hello to all parishioners of Dromtariffe.  I hope that despite COVID-19 & the bad weather

you are doing well.  Please God the numbers will come down more and the vaccine will

give great protection to all.  It has been a strange year for everybody & for the church too.

I long to be able to have Mass & the sacraments with our people.  In the meantime, I will

continue to say Mass for the people of station districts as they are dated in this newsletter

& to offer Masses for any intentions phoned into Evelyn at the parish office.

During November I am offering Mass each Monday for all the people you have written

down on the November lists.  And a very special Mass though private unfortunately, will

be offered on Monday 30th November.  If you have any relatives who died outside this

parish please hand in their names & addresses to the parish office so that can be displayed

in the Churches & called out at our special Memorial Mass.  As we await information on

when we will be allowed gather for Mass again, we will honour Our Lady on her Feast Day

Mass on 8th December.

Thanks for your great generosity with dues, fund, donation to offertory & November

Envelopes.  Because of the lack of Mass congregations our finances for the year will be

seriously depleted.

I am blessing the graves on this Wednesday & praying for all the people buried in each

graveyard.  Keep up the home prayers & May God’s peace & protection envelop you.

Fr Tom

  • Praying Sunday Mass online

As we gather at home for our Sunday Mass celebrations online, some suggestions that might help our prayer-time: Create a sacred space where you will sit to attend Mass e.g. using a crucifix or candle or icon, just like you might do if preparing for a house Mass. Invite family members to name a prayer intention that everyone will pray for during the Mass. Stand to hear the Gospel or to join in praying the Our Father, just like you would in church. We are reminded of the words of Jesus – ‘Where two or three are gathered in my name, there am I in their midst’ – We remember that Jesus Christ is present in our homes as we pray at Mass together.
