FEAST OF THE IMMACULATE CONCEPTION
This week we celebrate the Feast of the Immaculate Conception. The word “Immaculate” refers to the absence of sin and “conception” to Mary’s very beginning. The Immaculate Conception is the belief that Mary was graced by God in such a way that she was preserved from sin from the very first moment of her existence.
This week we say a special prayer for all mothers, who shape and influence the many different kinds of families in our society today. Bless them in their generosity, loving presence, sacrifice, gentleness and patience.
RETURN TO PUBLIC MASS
For our Parishioners who will attend Mass please note the following:
- Please continue to contact the Parish Office to book for all Masses.
- Face coverings must be worn in the Church.
- We will have ushers in the Church to show you to a seat and we will be asking people to fill the Church from the top down to limit the movement indoors.
- Ushers will also monitor and control the exiting of people after Mass and we are asking that you do not congregate in the Church yard after leaving the Churches.
CHRISTMAS MASSES
We will announce the schedule of Christmas Masses next weekend. Please note that bookings for these Masses must be made through the Parish Office from Monday 14th December.
VINCENT DE PAUL ANNUAL APPEAL
Traditionally this weekend St. Vincent De Paul would have held our annual Church gate collection, but unfortunately like so many things this year we have had to postpone due to Covid19 restrictions. Unfortunately, Covid has created a higher than usual level of anxiety and pressure on people and so we are asking for your generous support to allow us continue the work of our Society.
Donations can be dropped into the collection box at the back of Millstreet Church or to the Parish Offices in Millstreet and Dromagh.
If you or anyone you know need help this Christmas please contact us, in strictest confidence, on (087) 9597900.
