 ***************************

Dear Parishioners,

This year we have celebrated our Easter Ceremonies without congregations and behind closed doors, but thanks to live-streaming and our Church TV we have been able to join together as a Parish. Each ceremony was enhanced by the contributions of our Church Choir, organists Edel Fraser and Deirdre Treacy and our young musicians. A sincere thank you for the work you all put in and to the Fraser Family for compiling the discs to be used.

As we continue our journey through this pandemic it can be so easy to be overwhelmed by feelings of anxiety, loneliness and despair; but we must continue to take strength and courage from the teaching of our Gospels.

The Risen Christ gave us hope and we must now take this hope and allow it to give us the strength we need as we wait to return to “normal life” when we can be with our families, and friends.

To each person in our community, each household who is dealing with illness or bereavement, may you find the strength you need in these two phrases that are vital for our world today and which the Risen Christ shared with his disciples and the world Do not be afraid – peace be with you.

I take this opportunity to thank everyone who has continued to give financial support to our Churches through the returning of our Capital Fund envelopes, private donations in the absence of offertory collections, donations towards our live-streaming and also the Parish dues.  This support is greatly appreciated.

May the true meaning of Easter continue to be in each of your homes this year.

Fr. Fitzgerald
