Back by popular demand is a well worn cliché, but it’s so appropriate for this week’s edition of ‘Where the road takes me’.
Listeners to the programme just can’t get enough of John O’Leary who passed away earlier this year at the age of 98.
Originally from Rathbarry, but living in Cobh, John was a member of an Garda Siochana from 1942 to 1955, all of which was spent in Dublin.
This week we go on the beat with John to meet Brendan Behan, Margaret Pearse, Boxing Cyclone the reclusive Bill Warren and partying with the wonderful trading ladies of Moore Street.
