Community Notices

COFFEE MORNING:  In aid of Millstreet Church Restoration Fund will be held in the garden of Eileen & Noel Collins, Clara Road on Thursday next (10th) from 11.00-2.00p.m.

St. Joseph’s young priests society acknowledges with grateful thanks the donation of €2,700 from the parishioners of Millstreet for the education of seminarians studying for the priesthood in Ireland and all over the world.

BOOK LAUNCH : The launch of “Old Dog, New Trick” a collection of poems by Roger Casey will take place in Cullen Community Centre on Friday 11th September at 9.00p.m. All proceeds of this book will be shared by Cullen Pipe Band and the Friends of Mallow Hospital.  Tea and light refreshments will be served.  All welcome

THE sisters of St. Joseph of the Sacred heart, invite you to a Mass of thanksgiving for their foundress on Thursday 17th September at Holy Cross Church, Charleveille at 7.30p.m.  At least two Sisters of St. Joseph have come from the Millstreet Parish:  St. Maria Moynihan, Flintfield and Sr. Kathleen Murphy, Coolikerane.

Interested in being a host family for an American girl hoping to attend Millstreet Community School for a semester.  The family are from Nebraska U.S.A. and will be visiting the area during this month. There will also be an opportunity for a daughter from the host family to stay with them in Nebraska.  For further details contact:  Eily Buckley (086) 3163285.

MILLSTREET PARENT & TODDLER GROUP will re-open on Tuesday 8th September at 10.00a.m. in Millstreet GAA Hall.  New members welcome (newborn – 5 years old). €5 per family.

DUHALLOW REGION IFA & TEAGASC will hold a seminar to discuss the serious financial crisis facing the farming community in the CYMS Hall, Newmarket on Tuesday 8th September at 8.15p.m.
