LAY PEOPLE TO TAKE UP LEADERSHIP ROLES IN THE DIOCESE OF
KERRY: This weekend sees the launch of the new volunteer Ministry of the Lay Pastoral Leader. It is being introduced as a response to the changing needs of Parish communities. The lay pastoral leaders will work alongside the clergy. Their role will be to lead, co-ordinate and support different aspects of parish Life. Pamphlets are available in each Church and further information is on Diocese of Kerry website – www.dioceseofkerry.ie
Synodal Conversations Duhallow Sliabh Luachra Pastoral Area.
In response to the invitation of Pope Francis to be part of the largest consultation exercise in history, our Pastoral Area will be holding two “listening sessions” in the first week of April. This event is part of the preparations for the 2023 Synod in Rome when bishops and Church representatives from around the world will be reflecting on how the Church can listen better to the voices of her members and respond to the challenges of the day in a way that allows people to take part more fully in the life of the Church. We are extending an invitation to everyone – whether they feel distant from the Church or are active parishioners – to come along to either of these meetings, to express their own point of view and to listen to the voices of others.
Monday April 4th Teach Iosagain Rathmore at 7.30p.m.
Thursday April 7th The Parish Centre Millstreet at 7.30p.m.
