It was my privilege to be part of a community celebration on Saturday night in Green Glens, Millstreet. The celebration marked many years of contribution by Sean Radley to his local community and beyond. He is a man who has done endless small things with great love and will continue to do so for many more years. Sean’s contribution to his local community is beyond measure. No money could buy his contribution to education, local television, local radio and his unique ability to make every person feel special. We so often take many people for granted in our lives but on Saturday night over 600 people gathered to say thanks and well done. Such was the enthusiasm of the local community that they went off and bought him a brand new car! Sean’s story is also reflected in so many people who quietly go about their lives each day. Sometimes we feel we are just a single drop but Mother Teresa put it so well when she said the ocean would be less because of that missing drop. It is good and important to recognise the value of your contribution. It makes the world of a difference.

Sean the very best of luck and health in the next step of life I know that you may have retired from one post but the field of life has many more. Sorry that I couldnt make it. The Photos by Fr. James, John Tarrant, the entire LTV2 Crew and other camera enthusiasts – thank you sincerly for having recorded so comprehensively a Night of Nights. I’m presently getting my thoughts together – having gradually come down to earth after such a magical event – for the upcoming “Clara News” to attempt thanking all the amazing members of the Organising Committee as well as many others.
Great to see Seanie having his special night in celebration of all has dedication to the history and development of our town.

Greetings from Redding California. I had the pleasure of being in Millstreet on St. Patrick’s Day 2010. My wife and I met Sean Radley and his hospitality was fabulous. Regrets we won’t be able to be there this year, but in advance, ad Happy St. Patrick’s Day to all.
