“Radio Treasures” Tonight from 9.10 to 11.30pm on CMS

On this Tuesday – 13th June 2023 – preceded by “Jimmy Reidy & Friends” with a wonderful programme from the  splendid Archival Show where the focus is on Douglas in Cork at 8pm (the repeat of which one may hear after the Maureen Henry Show on Sunday night just after 10.30pm) we invite you to also tune into “Radio Treasures” this Tuesday from 9.10 to 11.30pm on Cork Music Station.  Feel very welcome to contact the live programme by emailing corkmusicstation @gmail.com or texting 086 825 0074 – One may also WhatsApp that number.   Tonight’s programme includes the recitation of a very special Four Pet Dogs Poem which has been composed by Denis Long in Cork and originally from Millstreet followed at 9.35pm by a feature on the renowned Storyteller Éamon Kelly … We meet Mary and Paul Sherlock from South London at 9.45pm and at 10pm we interview Gerard O’Callaghan and Gillian Gilbourne regarding a presentation of a Limericks Workshop for young people…. as well as lots of uplifting songs, music, musings and requests…. We meet the wonderfully welcoming relatives of Denis Long whose superb poem I shall quote at 9.30pm.
We welcome Paul and Mary Sherlock from South London at 9.45pm.
We interview at 10pm Gerard O’Callaghan of Mallow at Millstreet Library.
Catherine O’Sullivan’s wonderful pet dog “Jack” is very pleased with his day in Crinaloo Bog. He is such a superbly Loyal Listener of “Radio Treasures”! (We thank Catherine for this magnificent photo.)
Joining with a Group from Clondrohid, Millstreet Active Retirement Association recently enjoyed a totally magnificent few days in the beautiful Westport area of Co. Mayo with lots of trips to surrounding scenic locations.  We thank one of the main Coordinators, Mary Sheahan, for this excellent image.

    Just to thank you for all your support last Saturday during and after our library workshop. I really appreciate all your help, including the visit to Tubrid Holy Well, which was a highlight.
    Now for the downside. I missed your radio programme last night, due to a family invasion at the wrong time. I’m hoping that you may have a recording of your show, as I was so looking forward to it.
    Again, thanks for your hospitality in Millstreet and I hope to see you in Mallow soon. You are always welcome.
