To all Former Pupils of Cullen National School, both at home and abroad.
Re: Cullen National School
As we are preparing for the move to new premises, we feel that we should avail of this opportunity to gather our memories of the previous Cullen Schools and life therein and have them available for our grandchildren and their grandchildren. We aim to encapsulate life as it was and remain cognisant of our traditions and history and proud of our unique Irish culture.
The book will be entitled “An Scoil Náisiúnta: Fadó – Inniu.” or something in that general line. Cullen National School Memoirs; by the people of Cullen, for the people of Cullen. It would be an achievement if we could cover from the ‘hedge schools’ to the present.
We hope that this endeavour will receive your full support. We would greatly appreciate a submission from you. Each article will be attributed to its author. You may use any method of recording of your preference: hand-written, typed, audio tape, video tape etc. Our email address is: cullennats.ias @ eircom.net .Our former pupils overseas may either post their articles to Cullen National School, Lislehane, Cullen, Mallow, Co. Cork or submit via email.We hope to have all articles received by May 6th.
