Derry Horgan, Millstreet and Manchester

Derry Horgan late of Millstreet and Manchester.

  Derry was son of the late Tom and Sheila Horgan and lived in Killarney Road, Millstreet. Predeceased by his sister Margaret and brother Tommy. Educated in the local primary school, and in Coláiste Pádraig from 1958 – 1963. Having completed a B. Comm. in UCC in 1966, he went to the UK and worked in the private sector. He had great affinity with Millstreet and visited every year and renewed old acquaintances. He became unwell just before Covid and had lingered on until he passed away peacefully on Tuesday last, 8th Oct. 2024.  He is survived by wife Joan and son Patrick.

  1. Sincere condolences to the Horgan family. I enjoyed working in the Horgan household back in the 50s. Derry was a quite intelligent boy who took great care with his schoolwork. I was saddened to hear of Derrys death, may his gentle soul rest in peace.
