As a new group of Irish Soldiers this week (Nov. 2024) embark on a Tour of Duty to Lebanon one of those brave Members of the Irish Army is Three Star Private Keenan Barrett from Letterkenny, Co. Donegal – son of Eugene and Kelly Barrett and grandson of John & Gwen Barrett, Aubane, Millstreet. Keenan, Kelly and John all recently featured on “An Nuacht” on TG4 Television…filmed in Athlone… during which Keenan spoke brilliantly in his wonderful Donegal Irish! We wish Keenan a very safe and fulfilling tour of duty. Ireland is so very proud of its courageous Members of the Irish Army and being such inspiring Ambassadors as UN Peacekeepers.
