We shall soon be indicating a video link to a truly excellent video produced by William McSweeney, his Primary School Class from Cobh and RTÉ’s Jim Wilson. William who lives and teaches in beautiful Cobh, is of course a native of Killarney Road, Millstreet – is a gifted Musician, an inspiring Teacher and a real Expert in the area of Nature Study. The Documentary is a gem and a delight… and deserves the highest of Oscars!
Updated: the video has been added below. It is 5th class pupils of Scoil Iosaef Naofa, Cobh, Co. Cork, Ireland (William’s class) as part of the International Schools Godwit Project, which is a co-operative international study between a school in Iceland, a school in Devon, England, and William’s class, in a joint effort to to link what the birds do on the wintering and breeding grounds in order to understand the factors that regulate the population size of a migratory bird species.
