Here are the results of this weeks parish lotto draw which was held at Corkerys Bar on Sunday night. Numbers drawn were ,11, 21, 27, 32 and the Jackpot was not won. €100 went to Cathryn O Callaghan, Drishane View, the seller was Mairead Daly and she got €50 sellers prize, €50 went to The O’Donovan Family, West End, €20 each to T. A few changes coming up, in our weekend mass times in our churches due to the scarcity of priests. And in an effort to make it more manageable for them we are asked to sign a form which was attached to the miselettes at mass in all of our three Churches at the weekend. We are asked to decide if the Vigil Masses are to be said either at 6.30 or 8pm in Cullen and in Millstreet. Times for Sunday Masses have already been decided, they are as follows, First Mass in Millstreet 8.30, Ballydaly 9.30, Cullen, 10.30 and second Mass in Millstreet at the new time of 11.30.
We are asked to have the forms returned by the weekend to a box in the Church and the new structure in place by the end of November.
Morning Masses at the moment are being held at Tarrants Funeral Home. But as there is a wedding on Friday, Fr Declan is asking people to come and help clean up the church on Thursday afternoon in preparation for it.

Sean Tuckers latest Book “The Famed Hill of Clara“ will be launched at the Aubane Social Club on Sunday evening next October 25th at 8p.m. Copies are already on sale at Wordsworth Bookshop and is a wonderful read and a precious keepsake. Jerry Pat O’Leary is off to Haiti on this Saturday October 24th to work for one on the Haven Building Project, but before he goes, he’s inviting us all in on Friday for a tasting of his all Ireland, gold-winning sausages etc. So do drop in, wish him a fond bon voyage and have a taste of those finger lickin sausages.

The church gate collection in aid of our Community Council will be held this weekend in Millstreet. Members please help.
And there was a great response to the Councils appeal for a qualified person to take charge at our Gym. It will be reopened in the near future.

The Millstreet Vintage Club decided at their meeting last night to hold a Vintage Rally plus family fun day at the Green Glens Arena next Easter Sunday April 4th 2010, by kind permission of the Duggan Family. Proceeds to the Church Restoration Fund.
Millstreet Development Association hold their meetings at the Wallis Arms on Tuesday nights. New members welcome.
The National Dairy Show was a great success at the Green Glens on Saturday This weekend it’s the turn of the SJI Pony Show at the same venue. It will run on Friday Saturday and Sunday 23rd,24th 25th.with some spectacular events to be seen, from tiny children riding tiny ponies to teenagers about to move up a grade. Admission is free. This pony show is run every year for charity. And often support local causes. Again take note Admission is free.
A classical concert will be held at Drishane Castle on December 4th in aid of a local charity. More about that later.
The Aubane Social Club are pulling out all the stops this year at Halloween in aid of Cystic Fibrosis. Young and not so young are asked to take part in the fancy dress Ball. With some great prizes to be won. The Wallis Arms Hotel is completely refurbished, to add even more lustre to the occasion. On the night there will be a massive auction of a wide variety of items. O Learys Butchers will provide a BBQ, DJ for the night, Mad Dave. And music starting at nine by the ever popular Connie and Tom, otherwise known as the Celts
Fashion Show at the Glen Theatre on this Thursday night October 22nd in aid of Banteer Creche.

Millstreet GAA are supporting the Cork County Board Draw with another new series underway.
A year’s subscription is €100 paid yearly or monthly. Further details on the draw are available from Club officers.
Millstreet defeated Dromtariffe in the Duhallow Junior B Hurling Championship. At juvenile level, Millstreet were defeated by Boherbue in the Duhallow U16 Football Championship Final.

Millstreet Set Dancers took part in the 40th Anniversary Scor Concert hosted in Ovens on Saturday night, compere our own Jerry Doody.
In Soccer, Millstreet lost to Macroom 1-0 in Millstreet at the wkend.
