Sean Radley is back from Dublin following his joyful experience at the Volunteering Awards Function which was held at the Royal Hospital, Kilmainham. The outright winner to represent Ireland in Europe was the well-know Christine Buckley, and each contestant was presented with a beautiful framed scroll in recognition of their great work . By President Mary MacAleese. Each was also given a list ,in book form of all the citations that people sent in, in support of them in the run-up to the final. A keepsake that Sean will treasure.

A record crowd attended the Self-Build Exhibition which was held at the Green Glens Arena on Friday Saturday and Sunday last. Be it the Recession or whatever was the reason for the upsurge in the attendance.
Next event at that venue will be the 45Drive in aid of our local hospital fund. Tuesday December 8th. More details later.
And the BIG news is that Our Summer Show is back on track again at the Green Glens arena in 2010, and will run from August 9th to 15th.

A note from the Secretary of our Development Group to say that they will host a talk on Entitlements at their weekly meeting to-morrow Wednesday night at the Wallis Arms Hotel, starting at 8. And all are welcome. The talk will be given by Helen O Sullivan of IRD DuhallowEntitlements is a very topical subject at the moment ,so don’t miss this important talk.

Still with our Church, The synchronisation of our Masses has now been completed, and the last remaining change was that of the vigil Mass which went to the choice of the people ,will be said in future at 6.30. Sunday Mass times are Millstreet, 8.30 and 11.30. Ballydaly 9.30, Cullen 10.30.These changes will come into effect on the weekend of November 28/29th. and will remain so until Summer 2010, when further new changes must be implemented.

Millstreet bettered Lismire in the Junior B Hurling Championshp hosted in Millstreet on Sunday.
And this week we mourn the passing of the lovely Mary O Sullivan (Buckley) of Glountane West Carriginma, in her 40th year following a long illness bourne with dignity and courage. Our deepest sympathy goes out to her grieving Husband Seannie, little children Ciaran and Kevin. Her dear mother Siobhan and family.May God console them in their grief and give Mary eternal rest.
