All the local soccer teams are on a break of a few months for the summer. After Millstreet Celtic’s heroics last season in the league, there was little success for them or any of the local teams this year. Millstreet Celtic had an awful start to the season loosing most of their first seven games, and then went on a winning streak, climbing up the table before fading again at the end of the season. Rathcoole under 15’s missed out on promotion in the last game, a match which they dominated against second place Churchvilla, but a cruel own goal near the end ended their hopes. Rathcoole junior team had a poor year, failing to have a stable team all year and doing well to stay out of relegation trouble, while Los Zarcos above all continue to enjoy their football.
