The historic occasion was blessed with perfect weather conditions. The day began with the celebration of Mass in Cullen Church followed by a grand parade to the new school led by the renowned Cullen Pipe Band. The release of dozens of blue and yellow balloons (Cullen colours) was a wonderful sight to behold. Following some very interesting speeches the school was officially opened by the cutting of a special ribbon. Fr. Gerard O’Leary blessed the building and all then entered the hugely impressive building where photographs were taken and an excellent presentation by the pupils took place demonstrating their many great talents. Here we share Part One of our selection of images from such an important event for Cullen.
