Walkers can now choose to climb Clara Mountain OR complete the Drishane Castle Loop via Station Road. This is to suit our younger walkers who may find Clara Mountain a little too adventurous! Meeting point for both walks is the GAA Hall at 11am. All sponsorship cards to be handed up before the walk.
Thanks to Thomas Duggan for allowing us use Drishane Castle.
Hope to see a large crowd tomorrow 🙂
77 people took part in our walk in total- 60 climbed Clara Mountain and 17 completed the Drishane Castle Loop. Some sponsorship cards must still be returned but at the moment the amount raised to share with The Mercy Hospital is €1212.10. A huge thanks to all who supported this event.
Minor League Hurling Final Saturday 29.09.2012 -Can you please ensure that all GAA Fixture notices on the webpage are correct…..the wrong time was given for last Saturday’s Final it was at 5pm & not 4 pm as was adverised.
hi marie, i’m sorry but there’s not a lot i can do about it 🙁 the match was advertised as 4pm on the millstreet juvenile gaa website, and also on the rebelóg.ie website as 4pm. apparently, the match time was changed on saturday (the day of the match) to 5pm.
we do write at the top of the gaa fixture list that matches can be changed at the last minute. that’s just the way the gaa is, and yes it can be very inconvenient for someone that travels to a match to find out it has changed.

Millstreet Juvenile GAA is extremely grateful to millstreet.ie for advertising our matches. As Michael already said, the time of this match was changed at very late notice on Saturday. The change of time was highlighted on our club facebook page. We did not have time to update our club website or notify the administrators of millstreet.ie as we were taking part in our ‘Fun Walk’ which has now raised just under €1300 to share with the Mercy Hospital.
We apologise for the inconvenience but at least you were early for the match and did not miss any of it. To confirm match times in future, feel free to text the club phone on 087 9533213
Once again, thanks to Michael and the millstreet.ie team for their support of our club.
