A long awaited register of residential property prices in Ireland has been launched yesterday afternoon (30th September).
The register, which can be seen at propertypriceregister.ie, provides the price, address and date of sale on residential properties purchased in Ireland since 1 January 2010.
It includes details for both cash sales and sales which involved mortgages. The Property Services Regulatory Authority said that the site will be updated on a regular basis with information published within a month of the date of a sale.
The site is awkward enough to navigate, however we have listed below the properties that sold in the Millstreet area since 2010. What is surprising is not the price of sale, but how few have been sold compared to what’s on the market. Having heard that some properties had been flogged by the banks at auctions in Dublin, they certainly don’t seem to be showing up on this list … but maybe they will show up in the near future.
