The Wallis Arms Hotel will be a hive of activity on Sunday next October7th.
It is National Trails Day by IRD Duhallow, and to celebrate it here in Millstreet a walk is organised on the Clara Loop 10 KM. Taking off from the Wallis Arms at 12.30, and returning to there at journeys end for an evening of Traditional entertainment and BBQ. Sounds great. For more information contact IRD at 60633.
A note here from Mary Buckley Laught to say that a gala Fashion Show for both men and women will be held at Rochestown Park Hotel on Wednesday October 10th in aid the Suicide Awareness Group entitled LETS TALK. Special Guest on the night will be TV star Miriam O Callaghan. Cheese and Winereception etc. Tickets can be got by contacting Mary at 029 58087 or at the door on the night.

William FitzGerald will launch Cork Music Station at the Hazel Tree on Monday night next October 8th. Proceeds of the night go to the Cullen Special Needs Association.
Free entry to the lovely Millstreet Country Park for the next number of months. Autumn colours are turning the place into a wonderland of greens and russets and gold. Restaurant will be open for teas and coffees , and visitors must go there to get their coin ,free of charge ,which is necessary to raise the pole at the exit gate on your way out.

The Aubane Social Club and the Wallis Arms Hotel will one again host their annual Fancy Dress Ball on Friday
October 19th. Proceeds this year will go mainly to our Day Care Centre.

The National Dairy Show will be held at the Green Glens on Saturday October 20th, followed by the annual Pony Show on October 26, 27, 28th. The Pony Show is held every year in aid of many charities.

A Book Club for children entitled PageTurners takes place at our local Library on Saturday October 13th at 12noon.
Eucharistic Adoration in our Church every Tuesday and Wednesday from 10,30 am to 10.30 pm. In Cullen on Thursdays at the same times and in Ballydaly on Fridays from 7 to 9. And please be reminded that there is a box down at the end of the church and pieces of paper provided, where you can write your special requests , this box will be put in the Adoration Chapel and your worries and requests will be included in the prayers of all who worship there.

Millstreet Juvenile GAA hosted the Connie Kelleher, Alan and Tommy O’Connor Memorial Cups last Sunday in Millstreet Town Park.
They also held highly successful fund raising walks to both Clara and Drishane.
Here are the results of this week’s parish lotto draw which was held at the Clara Inn on Sunday night.
