Big Tom McBride Interview on Sky 191 on Tuesday, 8th Jan. 6.00 – 7.30 p.m.

Hot Country Life Stories presented by Michael Commins broadcast on Sky TV 191, Freesat 400 and Free View will have a special programme on Tuesday 8th Jan at 6 – 7.30pm, with a repeat on Sat 12th Jan at the same time, featuring the life story of Ireland’s King Of Country Music Big Tom.
Rose McBride, Tom’s wife also makes an appearance. The recording was made at the home of Rose and Tom.
All Big Tom fans in Ireland and The UK will be delighted to see their hero talking about his life, and how he became famous. The show also features songs which have made him a household name.
Hot Country is now well established as Europe’s number 1 country music TV show, broadcasting 4 times a week since September 2009, Monday and Sunday 8 – 9 pm, Tuesday and Saturday.

  1. Hi Geraldine – The relevant website for “Hot Country” is: http://hotcountryshowcase.net/. As far as I know one can only view the programmes live. The Big Tom interview has already been screened and its repeat also broadcast. It may come out later as a DVD. Hugh O’Brien is the person who will provide information on that television channel.

    1. Hi Máirín…I’ve checked quite a few translation areas which all indicate Marguerite as being the very same name also in Irish (Gaelic). When I get to meet a number of Irish speaking enthusiasts I shall enquire further and if a new Irish name for Marguerite emerges I shall let you know. It’s a beautiful sounding name…in whatever language.
