Cork Business Community Talks Shop
The Cork business community was out in force today, (Friday, 1st February) for a full day conference and networking event, to discuss issues facing SMEs in Cork, and what action is needed to help businesses thrive.
The event too k place in Charleville Park Hotel, Co Cork, and was addressed by key note speaker, Minister for Finance, Michael Noonan TD, who spoke about changes that are planned through public and private resources to nurture growth in the SME sector.
The event was an amazing opportunity for discussion on the current economic climate and what supports are out there for SME owners, business managers and would be entrepreneurs. The lively debate was an encouraging forum for business development, sustainable job creation and the resources available to anyone in business in Ireland.
Leaders in the business community such as Niall Donnellan, Head of Investment Services, Client Management Development and HR from Enterprise Ireland, Stephen McKenzie, CEO of ICU Global, Mark Cunningham, Head of Business Banking at Bank of Ireland, and many more, shared their expertise and were on hand for questions throughout the day.
Supports and advice from both public and private sectors were examined, with entrepreneurs, business owners, and managers of small sharing their experiences and openly discuss business opportunities for 2013.
Speaking after the event, Aine Collins TD said “This was a really wonderful opportunity for business people in Charleville to engage with some of the leaders and decision makers in the business world. There was great interaction between the speakers and delegates which made for a very engaging and interesting day.”
