Following the release of the McAleese Report this week (on the Magdelene Laundaries), and the Taoiseach’s refusal to admit blame on the part of the state, Steven O’Riordan as spokesman for the Survivors Group was on the airways and papers airing their views.

Audio above is of Steven interviewed on the Pat Kenny Show (RTÉ Radio 1) (5th Feb 2013) (Steven can be heard from 5:30 to 13:50 in the interview)

He also appeared on the Morning Show on TV3 (Feb 6th) with Marina Gambold [see the 12 minute interview]

from the Irish Sun: Survivors group spokesman Stephen O’Riordan stormed: “If Enda Kenny can stand up in the Dail and criticise the Catholic Church in Rome about the Cloyne Report, is this Magdalene Ireland or is this Republic of Ireland? These women, and I’m sure the wider society at large now, would like to see an official apology and closure. Those comments from Enda Kenny are a complete and utter cop-out.”
