Dia is mhuire diobh go leir a Cairde and welcome to news Report 1161 from Millstreet. Fondest greetings dear listeners and I wish you all the very best on this cold and dry Tuesday Morning.
Our Easter ceremonies went very well in our churches at the weekend. They were very well attended.
The polish Community held a Food Blessing ceremony on Saturday afternoon led by Canon John. Many thanks to him and to all who helped to make our Easter ceremonies so Holy and Meaningful. May God reward their efforts.
Outside of religious ceremonies our parish was action packed. Our commemoration Committee held their annual event at the Monument in the Town Square, will the Pipe band leading their parade.
Our Vintage Club hosted their annual event at Mount Leader. But the inclement weather led to a disappointing turn out. The proceeds are going to the Reach Out Cancer Support Group and people are contributing to it regardless.
Meanwhile down at the Green Glens a highly successful Horse Show was held over the three days. With over 3,000 entries from all over the British Isles. And the good news is that others will follow in the near future.
The Green Glens is now on Facebook, as well as on the Web. So keep an eye on it to keep abreast of all that’s coming up there.
