Mons. Micheál Manning, was Parish Priest of Millstreet parish for the seventeen years until his retirement in 2010. He was previously the Parish Priest in Annascaul but in February 1993, Bishop of Kerry, the Most Rev. Diarmaid Ó Suilleabháin announced his transfer to Millstreet.
2008 Mons. Manning in front of St. Patrick’s Church during the refurbishment works.
Msgr Micheál Manning was a gentleman who really loved Millstreet. He was a shy man, very holy, lived a simple lifestyle and was someone who lived the Gospel message in his own quiet way. We sometimes talk about seeds of faith – well he sowed many of them during his 17 years here in Millstreet. Our parish and community will reap the benefits for many years to come. May he rest in peace
May he rest in peace a wonderful man.
