The fine weather is adding great joy all round. Baoichas le Dia. Farmers are getting on with their work with a little more ease. The Exams are over and all concerned are breathing a sigh of relief. And the National Schools are about to close their doors until September. Today Cloghoula School are having their usual Mass and B B Q to mark the occasion and yesterday,the
town schools had sports in the Park in lovely weather.
Today our Centra Store is offering free refreshments to both children and parents to send them all on their merry way for the next three months. We wish them a happy and safe holiday.
Last evening a fine crowd attended the annual Mass at St Johns Well. The parish Choir was there as well as many visiting priests, and amplification
by O Sullivan.
There’s a Family Tree Mass at Tubrid Well on Friday evening next June 28th. Rosary at 7, Mass Starts at 7.30 followed by Benediction at 8.40 .Concluding with personal Blessings with
1st class relic of Padre Pio. All are welcome.
The planning for our Gathering Festival goes on. July 4th to the 7th. with something for everyone.
July 4th,the Blessing of the Cross on Clara. All walkers must register at the Pastoral Centre for the 6 O’clock start and do so again on their return, so that nobody will be lost.
There’s a Teddy Bears Picnic in the Town Park that evening also and a Table Quiz at the Hotel organised by the Active-retired group starting at
9 O’clock.
Friday July 5th our Athletic Club’s Races, will feature The Willie Neenan Memorial 10K Road Race plus races for all ages. With lots cash prizes up for grabs. Contact Maeve for details.
All races will start out from the GAA Hall following registration.
Friday also, Live Music with Natural Gas at the Wallis Arms Hotel.

Before the Lotto Draw on Sunday night a very pleasant function was held at the Clara Inn at which our Lotto Jackpot winner of the previous week John Murphy Clara, was presented with a cheque for €10,400 and the Seller Donal Guiney with a cheque for €1,040. Chairman Noel Buckley congratulated the winners and went on to thank the public for their continued support for the Lotto which is doing so much good for our community. But then it was back to business and on to the Wallis Arms Hotel for this weeks lotto draw. Numbers drawn were 3, 13, 15, 22. and the Jackpot was not won. €100 went to Con O Connor, Rathrue. The Seller was Super Valu and they got €50 sellers prize. €50 went to Barry O Reilly, Cloghoulabeg,
