Vodafone has chosen Millstreet as one of 23 towns nationwide where it will introduce its 4G mobile network next Monday October 14th.
“Vodafone said that the programme High Definition Voice services for delivers crystal clear calls and also advanced coverage quality so that all users have an improved indoor and outdoor experience.
The company said that customers living and working in the coverage areas will be able to avail of high speed 4G mobile broadband for €29.99 per month (ex VAT) which includes a 20GB data allowance. Vodafone will also have a 4G smartphone offer for Christmas, with details to be announced shortly.”
We hope it’s an improvement on their recent service which has seen people very frustrated with little or no signal in much of Western Duhallow for the last few weeks.

Apparently it is us that they’re rolling it out to … see “4G is rolled out in Duhallow as problems persist” in last week’s Corkman.
One reply from Vodafone Customer Service was: “We are sorry if you have experienced network interruptions recently. We are upgrading our sites in your area and this has led to coverage issues. We are working to fix these as quickly as possible.”
i suspect that they decided to roll it out in rural areas to sort out any technical difficulties. if they keep this up for much longer, they won’t have many customers left :\
