I hope you are all well following the massive change in weather conditions over the weekend coupled with the change in time.
The 37th Annual Pony Show was for three days,over the weekend . With people from all parts of the country coming to take part. Dedicated parents giving their young people every opportunity to succeed in the Equine world.
In weather that changed from tranquil Autumn calmness to freezing wind and rain. As ever the cosy indoor Arena proved it’s worth and competitions went on early and late. This Show is held every year for charity, lots of money was raised and the list of recipients is on the website as well as the list of all the winning ponies.
Next weekend November 8 to 10 we will have the great Self-Build Show again all under one roof at the Green Glens.
As always a show not to be missed.
The Country Park played host to a very enjoyable Orienteering events on Sunday. The Bishopstown Orienteering Club were there as well as many others. And New Trails are being developed all the time. So keep an eye on their webpage.
This is a very Holy Week, taking in the Feasts of All Souls and All Saints. Friday, November 1st is the Feast of All Souls, A Holy Day of Obligation. And Church services are as for Sunday, Vigil Mass on Thursday evening at 7.30 and Friday is as for Sunday . Saturday the Feast of All Souls. All through the month of November there will be Masses for the Dead and those whose names are on the list will be remembered.
Blessing of the Graves in Millstreet cemetries on Sunday November 10th and all those who passed away during the year will be remembered at Mass on Saturday November 23rd.at 6.30.
The Fancy Dress Party in Carriganima on Sunday night was a real Gala affair with old and young taking part. But the Carriganima Puca was not caught. So the time for capturing him has been extended to next Sunday night. €200 still up for grabs if you can get him. So keep searching.
Women’s Little Christmas Party will be held at the Wallis Arms Hotel on January 3rd. Tickets at €25 each go on sale at the GAA Hall this Friday night November 1st.orRing Mairead Daly at

An important Public Meeting will be held at Dromtarriffe Hall on Tuesday night November 5th. Items for discussion will include Security, Fireprevention. Isolation , etc.

This is Halloween week and apart from all the fun and games that are being planned, there’s fun activities at our Local Library on Thursday from 12 noon to 1pm.
