Cross Country

Congratulations and well done to
Donal Bourke from Kilcorney
representing Millstreet A.C.
who was competing in the Munster Even ages Cross Country Championships at Limerick Race Course on Sunday.
Donal came home in 21st position with 156 competing.  He was in the Cork team who finished 2nd team and was delighted to be coming home with a silver medal.
His next race will be the Munster uneven ages in Castlelyons on 10th November and we wish him the best of luck in this event.
Emily Ring, Orla Buckley, Sarah Bourke, Ian Buckley, James Buckley, Daniel Buckley, Patrick Kelleher, Eanna O’Mahony and Even O’Sullivan will be representing Millstreet A.C and we wish them the best of luck.

Dublin City Marathon

Also representing Millstreet A.C. at the weekend at the Dublin City Marathon were Frances Ring and Con Twomey who both broke the 4 hour mark and many congratulations to them.  Sheila Tarrant also broke 4 hours recently in Amsterdam as well as Josephine McSweeney and very well done to them both.
A lot of locals competed in Dublin at the weekend namely; Brian Murphy, Donal Kelleher, Rose Rea, Neil Corkery, Joe Buckley, John Paul Buckley and Padraig Bourke, Denis McCaul  to name but a few.
Its such a great achievement to finish a marathon as it is such a difficult race, well done to all of them.
