Our new Bishop Ray Browne paid an extended visit to our parish over the weekend. Said Mass in all the churches,including Dromtarriffe. It was his first trip and people everywhere went to greet and welcome him as our New Bishop of Kerry.
He was very impressed by the beautiful Church that we have here in Millstreet and complimented the people for the way they took on the four million project in the first place. And for the way they continue to pay for it with their weekly contributions.Our Community singers sang at the Vigil Mass and Our Parish Choir attended the 11.30 Mass on Sunday.
Sean Radley was busy with his camera taking pictures of Bishop Browne and his people, which are the website for all to see.
As I said last week our Town Square is clear now for the free flowing of traffic. A few more details remain to be finished such as lining and planting. And when these are finished that we will see the final result, which will be great.
Again please support the stores that were affected by the work. And be prepared to shop at home for Christmas.

Fundraising for The irish Cancer Society is going well in the PUB in Carriginma, with all the men sporting beards for the Movember Drive,

The Beara Breifne Way Walking Trail from Dursey to Cavan won first prize in the Tourism category in the IPB Pride Of Place Awards Ceremony in Derry over the weekend.
Beara Tourism entered the walking trail and had the support of Cork County Council and sixty community groups along the trail.
Over 700-community representatives attended the event, which was hosted by the City of Derry Council. Prizes were given out by The Deputy First Minster Martin Mcguinness, Minster Phil Hogan, and the Mayor of Derry Martin Reilly.
Cork County Council Mayor Noel O’ Connor who attended the event stated, that this is the first time that a community group from Cork has won first prize in the last nine years and well done to all involved.
Here are the results of this weeks parish lotto draw which was held at the Wallis Arms Hotel on Sunday night .
