Toughathlon Deferred Until February…Website Update Noted

Not having been aware of the fact that the Toughathlon event had been cancelled before Christmas on account of health and safety reasons and going by the promotional poster I saw in Killarney - I made my way just after midday to the Flynn Family in Drishane Road behind whose home lots of the Toughathlon activities take place in the Drishane Estate. I had cameras and wellingtons at the ready...but noted no activity in the fields. It was only when I met the Flynn Family that I became aware of the cancellation which had been communicated to the potential participants well before Christmas. So it's back again in February 2014 to record the exciting event....and this time I shall indeed check for website updates. Click on the images to enlarge. (S.R.)

It was only when I met the Flynn Family that I became aware of the cancellation which had been communicated to the potential participants well before Christmas.   Considering the persistent rain we’re experiencing today in Millstreet it is indeed fortunate that the event is not taking place today.  So it’s back again on Sat. 8th  February 2014 to record the exciting event….and this time I shall indeed check for website updates!  Click on the images to enlarge.
