Dia is mhuire diobh go leir a cairde and welcome to news report 1207 from Millstreet . Fondest greetings dear listeners and I wish you all the very best on this cold and wintery Tuesday morning.
First of all I want to say a very sincere word of thanks to Sean Radley for stepping in for me last week when I was down with the dreaded flu. But TG it passes and I’m well again.
Sean was very busy last week because as well as filling in for me, it was his turn to edit the program for LTV2 and his efforts received great praise for the wide range of features that he included. So well done all round
Sean.
Please be reminded that on Wednesday and Thursdays nights new programs for LTV will be on your screens. And it is gratifying to know that more and more people are making the effort to tune in their sets in order to receive it.
Sunday evenings are a joy with local TV both from Macroom and Millstreet beginning at five o’clock. Just the thing to block the wet and stormy weather.
And speaking of the weather, the hurricane storms of last Wednesday wrecked havoc with lots of our beautiful trees, especially in Drishane and Tullig etc but TG no loss of life.
And now I want to say a very Happy 100th birthday to the lovely John Murphy, formerly of Tullig and now living in Watergrasshill. Well done John and all the best for the future. From all of us in the Millstreet area.
