During the hour-long ceremony Canon John Fitzgerald, P.P. reminded the congregation that today was also so very historic in that two Popes were canonised in Rome – John xx111 and John Paul11. Great credit is due to the organisers of the Millstreet occasion. People travel quite a distance to attend this annual event in Millstreet.
