I want to say a million thanks to Sean Radley for stepping in when I needed him last week due to the death of my dear Brother Denis Corkery.RIP. Many thanks also to all those who made the long trek to Kilmacthomas, Co Waterford, for his funeral, also those have sent Mass Cards and sympathised with us in the street and shops. Special Mass will be said for all your intentions.
A million Congratulations to our young female boxing stars who won gold in Dublin over the weekend. Chloe Barrett, daughter of All Ireland Champion Sean, Megan Lehane and Linda Desmond all took part in the prestigious Amatuer Boxing All Ireland Finals which were held in Dublin on Saturday night. A victory parade, led by the pipe band, was held in their honour in Millstreet when they arrived home on Sunday evening. This was followed by a social evening at Tarrants Bar. Being members of the Rylane Boxing Club the crowd was addressed by their Manager, Dan Lane. He lauded the girls on their great success and complimented their parents and all who supported them.
Medals were the order of the day also at Cloghoula on Sunday at the Annual Pattern. Excitement was at fever pitch as the little ones gave their all in he many events that were laid on for them. The winners proudly displaying their medals as if they were as gold as the ones that came from Dublin. A fine crowd attended and as usual it was a day children playing and parents meeting .
As it has been for the past 31 years, and long may it continue.
And still with Cloghoula School, they are asking for used clothing, which will help raise funds for the school.
Bags can be handed in at the School all this week from 10am to 2.30 any day. Please support them well.
And the Children of Cloghoula will join the little ones of Ballydaly School on next Saturday for their first Holy Communion.
Many Congratulations to all the girls and boys who received their First Holy Communion at Millstreet Church on Saturday last.They put on a wonderful display of their singing at the end of our 11.30 Mass on Sunday and got a rousing round of applause when they were finished. May the Good Lord Bless them all.
Cullen Feis with all its usual attractions will be held on Sunday June 7th.
And Cullen’s Young at Heart Outing takes place on Friday June 20th, to the Glen Eagle Hotel for Dinner & Dancing. Book before June 16th.

Our weekley Lotto draw was held at the Bush Bar on Sunday night.Numbers drawn were 10, 15, 27, 30 and the Jackpot was not won. Jackpot for next week €10,600, the draw at Corkery’s Bar on Sunday night.
Following the draw, treasurer Margaret Burke on behalf of the Lotto Committee, wished the Co-Chairman Noel Buckley, every success in the forthcoming County Council Elections which takes place on this Friday May 23rd.

Feile na Bealtainne celebrations continue all over the county,thanks to the guidance of IRD Duhallow and the hard work of communities and individuals from all quarters. This very day we are all wondering where is Jack Roche taking 300 people on a mystery tour. It’s the talk of the place. With buses leaving at 9am and not returning until 9pm. and all for a mere €50. Those of us who can’t go will be waiting with baited breath to see what did we miss.
On to-morrow Wednesday in Boherbue they have a Tea Dance and Social Afternoon from 3pm on. An event not to be missed by all accounts.
Our own Seán Radley will feature in Thursdays Photography Exhibition which will be held at the James O’Keffee Institute at 7.30pm. The winners of the Bealtainne Photography competition will be announced on the night . They will have back-ground music and finger food .
