Dia is mhuire diobh go leir a cairde and welcome to News Report 1227 from Millstreet.Fondest greetings dear listeners and I wish you all the very best on this wet and balmy Tuesday morning.

Well The Week has finally come.

The week when we welcome back the mighty European Juggling Festival after six years. Last time 30 countries came and this time we have ten more. They are made up of people of both genders, all ages and nationalities and they raise the spirits of our Town with their merry ways and spectacular skills. We meet them in the shops and they whizz along the streets on one wheel bikes, some on stilts. It’s like one big Circus.

It has taken four years of planning to bring this monster event to fruition, and many of the members work as volunteers, to save overall expense. Global co-operation that could teach the whole world a lesson.

They love to interact with the community and every morning they put on Circus shows at the GAA Hall for little children.

The Big attraction on Saturday is the Parade. It’s their way of giving something free to the people .It starts at one thirty, and no words of mine could do justice to this spectacular extravaganza.

It will be an explosion of colour and movement and music. This is my last chance to remind you of it, so please make a note. The Parade, having passed both ways through the town, will continue into the Town Park where they will put on further displays and end with the customary shout HUP when all the Jugglers will form a tight square and throw all their artefacts high into air. So have your cameras at the ready.

Still on Saturday, down at the Green Glens on Saturday evening two Gala Shows are on the list, doors opened for the first at 5.30 , show starts at 6.

And the second, doors opened at 9 and show starts at 9.30.

Admission €15 for adults and U16 €8.

The cream of the world’s performers will be on stage at the Green Glens that night. Don’t miss it.
