The roads to Kilmeedy are to be avoided these times, as lengthy delays are the norm. Extensive work is in progress laying fibre-optic cables all the way from the wind farms in Caherdowney to Cruigs Cross in Ballydaly. The section from Kilmeedy Bridge started this week; there are long delays, so the place is best avoided if at all possible. Even Local traffic has in some cases had to travel over Bealac scenic mountain pass to get to where they want to go.

Footnote.
It’s important that I let you, the listeners, know that the Station has (C103) has informed me that from September 18th 2014. The format of my broadcast, and all the others, will be drastically changed. From then on, I will only be allowed to read the headings of my news on air, which would take about 30 seconds and the rest will go on line.
I’m not sure if this decision can be reversed by people power, but if enough of people think so, they can contact the Manager at C103, Mr. Kiaran Mc Geary.
