I’m chuffed. Millstreet is a great place with wonderful history and a beautiful church. I’m just glad that I was honoured with being chosen as the photographer for the stamp. (By the way, it’s also available in the 68 cent format. I didn’t know that until yesterday evening).
It was lovely to meet Seán that day. He is a fantastic ambassador for Millstreet and a thorough gentleman.
One of the nice aspects of the project was that I was able to put the designers in touch with Canon Fitzgerald, who I know was more than happy for the stained glass to feature on the stamp.
Someone reminded me today that because of this stamp, a photograph of mine will probably go through every single letterbox in Ireland over the next few weeks. So too will a little bit of Millstreet. How amazing is that!
