Fondest greetings dear listeners and I wish you all the very best on this lovely crisp, dry, Tuesday morning.
Please let me tell you, that, the new calendar for 2015 is out. Organised by the Community Council, it is a beautiful publication. Almost an annual report in pictures of all the happenings of Millstreet for the past twelve months and there were many happenings in 2014. They will be in the shops in the next few days.
A meeting of the Community Council will be held at the Wallis Arms Hotel to-night to organise the distribution of the calendars.
The Community Singers CD which was launched recently is proving very popular, People of all ages are enjoying the wide variety of the tracs. Please be reminded that copies at €10 each are on sale at many outlets in the town. So far they are at Wordsworth, Colemans, and SuperValu.
These items will make wonderful Christmas presents this year. They will also be on sale at our Development Groups Christmas Market which will be held at the GAA Hall on Decemdeb 6/7 .
Boherbue annual Christmas Market will from be held from 2-5 this coming Sunday November 23rd with many new attractions. Plus a bumper raffle for some great prizes.
There is very good news at the moment for those who enjoy our Local TV Station. Thanks to the hard work and perseverience of Dan Joe Kelleher, programs are now being transmitted from Clara Mountain. This will mean that many people who never had it before will now be able to tune in without any difficulty.
It is available on channel 30.
Programs from Macroom have already started on Wednesday nights and on Sunday evenings from 5.30.
Please play your own part to help the service along by doing your best to access the programs and let Dan Joe Kelleher or and of the Millstreet crew, know of your progress.
Many congratulations to Jimmy Reidy on his excellent program Round the Fire in Monday night which centred on prayer Missions and the Word of God.
We are all very proud here in Millstreet because of the fact that a scene of one of our lovely stain-glass windows in our church will feature in the €1 postage stamp this Christmas.
We have two Harry Clarke windows in our church . The one in question was donated many years ago by a Mr and Mrs. Brennan, who were the parents of a Canon here in Millstreet around that time. People who want to go and see it in full may be interested to know that the window is at the nineth and tenth Station of the Cross.
Many of the business people of Duhallow were lauded for their successes at a grand reception which was held recently by IRD Duhallow.

Plenty of colour and excitement in expected in the coming days in the run-up to the Semi-Final of the Munster Junior A Football Championship between Millstreet and Brosna in Brosna on Sunday November 23rd at 2pm, and we wish our boys the very best of good luck.
Our weekly Lotto draw was held at the Wallis Arms Hotel on Sunday night.
Numbers drawn were 5, 8, 11, 28 and the Jackpot was not won. €100 went to Noreen Dayden, Beaufort. The seller was Tommy Tucker and he got €50 sellers prize. €50 went to Mary O Sullivan, Kilcorney, €20 each to Emer Lane, The Sandpit.
