It’s gone past the eighth of December that means the Christmas shopping and posting has arrived at fever pitch. December 8th was often set aside by people to write their Christmas Cards or in the days before Sunday trading it was the big family Christmas Shopping day. But times change. But getting ready for Christmas never does. In spite of all the wise things that we say we’ll do every year, we wind up doing the same things again. Getting caught at the last minute for presents, buying too much food as if it were going out of fashion and so on.

Where a wide range of crafts and foods and Christmas present ideas were on sale. Not least among them the new 2015 Millstreet Calendar and the Community Singers CD which is selling very well and are still on sale in many outlets in the town.
Our shops are full of gift ideas. To make it more trouble free, vouchers to suit all pockets can be got at hairdressers. Petrol stations, coal and fuel outlets, pharmacies, butchers, to mention just a few. Above all please shop at home.
