The Highlight of our week here in Millstreet will be the Annual Community CouncilAwards Social which will be held at the Wallis Arms Hotel on Friday night. All tickets are already sold out ,and a gala event is assured. The Hall of Fame Award goes to Fr. Paddy O Byrne, who will travel to Nebraska later in the month ,where he ministered for many years ,to celebrate his Golden Jubilee. Other award recipients are Service to Youth, Our Youth Leaders, Service to the Community, Me Fein, Cultural Award, James Linehan, Achievement Award, Stephen O Riordan , For his Film, “(The Forgotten Maggies) Unsung Hero, Moira O Keeffe, Cullen, and Special Award.
