AN injury-time goal from Eoghan O’Connor allowed Kanturk pull the game of the fire with a last ditch equalising strike against Millstreet in the Ducon Cup played in Millstreet on Friday night (5th March 2010).
With no shortage of commitment in evidence, it allowed an equitable outcome emerged as a fair outcome. However Kanturk left it late, O’Connor rising up amongst a cluster of players to punch home the all important goal.

Defences dominated the opening half and it left scores difficult to come by.
Millstreet availed of points from Tadgh Colllins and John Lehane to steer ahead. Seasonal debutants Kanturk improved under the guidance of John Healy, Eoghan O’Connor, Kryle Holland, William Murphy and good shooting from Donough Dwane who tied up the game at 0-4 apiece by the interval.
A competitive contest developed upon the restart, Millstreet gaining an upperhand with Barry O’Reilly, Mark Ellis, Collins and Lehane to the fore. Collins found the net from close range and the impetus appeared to lay with Millstreet on additional points to Ellis and Lehane,
Kanturk weren’t prepared to relent, Stephen McAulliffe and Dwane pointing before a well directed ball from Dwane fell into the danger zone and O’Connor met it to hit a stinging shot to the Millstreet net.
