The big news this morning is that our lotto Jackpot has been won. Numbers drawn were 7, 8, 10, 25 and the lucky winner of €18,000 at the Clara Inn on Sunday night was Michael Walsh from Kanturk. The lucky seller was Noreen Tarrant who got the sellers prize of €1,800. The cheques will presented at a time yet to be decided. And on behalf of the committee I want to congratulate both Michael and Noreen on their good fortune and to thank all those won bought so lavishly in the run up to this great win.

The Southern Branch of Cystic Fibrosis will hold their Fundraising Dance at the Riverside Hotel Macroom on Saturday February 28th. Music by the popular Micheal Collins. Please support it well.
The Active Retired Group AGM takes place to-morrow Wednesday Feb 25th at 7. All are welcome.
Banteer Drama Group will perform “The Buds of Ballybunion” at Cullen Community Centre on Thursday February 26th starting at 8.30.
Eucharistic Adoration at Cullen Church every Thursday from 10am to 7. Become a regular one hour adorer every week or just drop in for a short while.

The road blocks through Macroom continues this week. The last one this Thursday Feb 26th. The huge loads on their way to the wind Farm in Ballyvouskil were a great spectacle for all those who stayed up late to see them.
The People of Carriganima held a very successful Auction at the pub on Saturday night in aid of the wonderful local Bus Service called C. A. R. T. The services is a multi purpose one which ferries school children from Macroom to Carriganima national school every day. Also Takes local people to town every Tuesday for shopping or socialising. It also takes people to various places of entertainment,singing pubs, theatres etc. which would be out of their reach otherwise.
Hats Off again to the great people of lovely Carriganima. They deserve our best support.
