Words can hardly describe the past weekend. Many well planned events had to be deferred or cancelled while people just looked out at the rain and storms. Silage-making which was in full swing was brought to a sudden stop, as the heavy rains lashed the land.
Our Canon FitzGerald thanked the Lord for blessing us with fine weather for the annual Mass at Tubrid Well last Friday evening. Which was attended by a huge crowd.
The annual pre-exams Mass will be said at Tubrid Well to-night. As always it will be celebrated by Fr.Kevin Mulcahy. Tomorrow the Enter Cert and Leaving Exams start all over the country and we wish the students God’s Blessing as we remind them that they can only do their best.

The annual Corpus Christy Procession will be held through the town on Sunday next June 7th following the 11.30 Mass.

Clogoula National School which held a very successful Pattern Day recently ,will hold an open Day tomorrow Wednesday from 10 am to 12noon.

Our Tidy Towns Committee are proud to say that they have come fourth for a second time in the Anti Litter Campain. The current dates for judging will end this Wednesday June 3rd with emphasis on Clara Rd. So please be vigillent at all times. The Committee are confidant of winning the prize outright, this year, and the money will help in no small way to defray many of their expences.
Sadly our country roads are still being subjected to littering, especially outside private homes where drivers have room to pull in and have their snack and thoughtlessly throw the containers out the window. Please refrain from this habit.
A break-In was foiled at a business premises in Kilmeedy on Saturday night at around 10.30. Please be on the lookout for strange vehicles or people in your area and report it right away to the Gardai.
The Millstreet Methodist Church in Partnership with Boherbue/Kiskeam parish will hold a Worship Celebration at the Church of the Immaculate Conception Boherbue on Thursday June 4th ,starting at 7.30 and all are welcome.
And please be reminded that the same group are accepting funding for the Nepal Earthquake disaster. See the notice on their window ,beside Aiden McCaul’s Hardware store.

Eucharistic Adoration in our Church every Tuesday and Wednesday from 10.30 am to 10.30.pm and in Cullen on Thursdays from 10am to 7. New adorers always welcome.
And we have a note from our Adoration Committee to say that all are invited to a special hour of Exposition on Wednesday June 10th from 6.30 to 7.30 pm, followed by Mass for the intentions of the People of the Parish .
A note from Rathmore to say that their Community Market in held is held every Saturday for 10am to 2. Local foods,crafts, music, teas and lots of craic.
Still with Rathmore, their popular Marian Players are organising an old clothes collection, clothes, curtains ,handbags, shoes . All funds raised will go to the Marian Players Fund. This collect will go on for the whole month of June.
